Hi everyone, my name is Michele (with one “l”) Burrell and I love to write. I’m currently working on a book that will be finished in June 2024. Thank you for stopping by my wordpress site, I’m really glad you’re here. I understand your time is valuable and hope you’ll find reading my blog time well spent.
Let me tell you a little about myself and my writing style. I was born in Bessemer, Alabama and currently reside in the suburbs of the Chicagoland area. I enjoy drawing, learning how to read music (keyboard), learning new languages and watching family friendly comedies. Laughter is and has always been good medicine for me. As you read my blog, you’ll find my sentence structure a little unconventional at times. I tend to write from my heart, asthough I’m talking to a friend. I’m also a firm believer in life long learning, so I expect my writing to get better along the way.
Let’s talk about the title of my wordpress blog “Tekoa Times”. I’ll have to take you to 2 Samuel 14 (NKJV) to explain why I chose this blog site title. The wise woman of Tekoa approached the throne with tact and sensitivity in a delicate situation to help King David soften his heart toward his estranged son Absalom. In my opinion, she was gentle like Abigail yet firm like Deborah (both wise biblical women of mention); the blogs you read here will be in like manner and fashion.
Is this blog for you? Personally, I hope the world will embrace this blog and find helpful biblical insights into things that concern it. However, that may or may not happen, as God (the one I serve, Jesus Christ of Nazareth) has made all men free to choose to be or not to be in relationship with Him. Yes, I love Shakespeare and no that was not a play on words lolll.
Lastly, I’ll be blogging daily to offer prophetic words and insights from Abba’s heart that we might all gain a heart of wisdom. I am a gentile follower and disciple of Jesus Christ. I will always end my blogs with “Shalom”. As a gentile follower and disciple ofJesus Christ I’m not interested in assimilating to Judaism nor do I desire to be jewish. Jesus Christ is jewish, wisdom cries out “study to show yourself approved”, therefore I make it a point to embrace the study of His culture.
Shalom!
